At St. John's, we seek to create environments where spiritual growth is fostered, community life is enriched, authentic worship is realized, and members are equipped to lovingly serve one another and their communities by living out the gospel in word and deed.
Children are not only the future of the church, they also are the means by which the gospel will be carried to the next generation. We take this responsibility seriously and want to do all we can to nurture faith in these children and encourage their parents.

Loving, secure childcare for age 3 and under is provided at 10:30 a.m. on Sundays during the morning worship service. At least two adults are always present in the Nursery, and every volunteer is required to pass a background check.
Parents are welcome to keep their infants with them in the service if they prefer, but are encouraged to sit near the back so they can easily step out should the need arise.

Sunday School for ages 4 through 6th Grade is available at 9:15 a.m. with age-appropriate activities and lessons to help your children grow in their understanding of the gospel.
Children are not only welcome in the worship service, parents are encouraged to lovingly help their children learn how to conduct themselves honorably in church. We understand the challenge for young children to stay still and attentive during the entire service, so a children's handout is available in the Lobby. For helpful tips on teaching your children how to worship, a free copy of the book Parenting in the Pew by Robbie Castleman is available in the Lobby. We are glad to talk with you about how you can apply the principles in the book.
A children's choir participates in the worship service during the Advent and Easter seasons, as well as other special days on the church calendar.
